For the upcoming seasons ahead, colours are still here and by the looks of it…we are carrying all the lively colours of summer straight into Fall and Winter!

What better way to beat the grey skies and winter blues than with fresh and bold colours? And (thankfully) the old rule of never wearing white after Labour Day is so yesterday; we can mix and match earthy tones with lively colours, and continue to enjoy wearing white! As much as that is true…black will always be the staple of elegance, confidence and a trademark for cooler weather. Amongst these; metallics are continuously in the “lime light” this season, and are interspersed with neutral colours – for an added zing.

There’s one new “hot” item that should be on our check list for this season’s fashion trend – and that’s plaid/tartan patterns! Whether it’s a skirt, pants, dress or scarf…this trend is everywhere anywhere.

And, for all of those daring fashionistas – punk is perfectly on trend as well. Depending on your courage…you can carry this look by wearing a leather bomber jacket or the full out ensemble (depending on your intended destination). You can always slip in a studded purse, leather biker boots or bomber jacket for more subtle fashion statements.

bootsThe common shades of grey, brown, caramel and cinnamon colours are the trademarks for fall and winter, but designers this year have opted to be rather bold, which has been reflected all over the runways in their haute couture fashion shows.

And here’s a little secret for you – pink is also a must-have colour for the autumn/winter season. This colour is ‘the new black’, so have fun with this new trend! Say good-bye to the autumn/winter blues and flaunt it with your new clothes and accessories.
