Madonna opens Hard Candy Fitness gym in Toronto

Madonna’s Hard Candy Fitness will open its doors Oct. 31,  inside the Shops at Aura on Yonge Street at Gerrard Street. The venture — named after Madonna’s 2008 album — is a partnership between the 55-year-old superstar, her manager Guy Oseary and New Evolution Ventures.

Located at 382 Yonge St. (the 78-story Aurora building), the 42 000 square foot facility is the brand’s first club in North America (we are the lucky ones here in Toronto!!. Built by the Canderel Real Estate Development Corporation, the building will be the tallest condominium in Canada with stunning views of the cityscape with an adjacent three acre park.

Described as a “full scale club,” the facilities will boast the brand’s signature modern style and high-end amenities, including extensive cardio, functional strength training and personal training spaces. It will also emphasizes unique group fitness programming with studios for everything from cycling and Pilates, to yoga and cardio-dance.

Hard Candy Fitness’ proprietary Addicted to Sweat workouts, which were recently released on DVD, will be offered to Toronto club members along with a complete selection of traditional group fitness programs.

Hard Candy Fitness already has locations in Rome, Sydney, Santiago, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Berlin.

Here at RedLipsLL, we can’t help but wonder if  Madonna will be paying a visit to to this latest location…we will be on the look-out (just in case!).
